Visa readiness check

Extending a visa-exempt stay by 30 days

For people who came in visa-exempt and want one more 30 days, done at an immigration office. It takes about two minutes, and nothing is saved.

Rules checked 16 Oct 2026

  1. Is this your first extension on this entry?
  2. Is your 'admitted until' date still in the future?
  3. Is your stamp due to run out within the next 30 days?

Offices accept applications up to about 30 days before expiry. Applying early doesn't cost you days.

  4. Does your passport have at least 6 months left?
  5. Do you have proof of where you're staying, like a TM30 receipt, hotel booking or lease?
  6. Will you bring 1,900 THB in cash?
